I really really wanted to like this book and agree with all those GR members that gave it it 4 and 5 stars Unfortunately life is too short and this book is just not plausibleinterestingconsistent After being than halfway through I can honestly say I would rather watch Fox News political coverage on loop than read one page of this book

I love Tsoumbakos's Australian setting for her fantasy horror books and she doesn't disappoint in Ring The story of an abandoned asylum could fall into been there done that territory but the author works in Gaelic folklore friendship Facebook and the Aussie setting so the storyline is fresh and newAt times I was surprised by the action and Tsoumbakos doesn't hold back on the thrills Her voice is clear and the heroine is flawed a huge plus for me There are paranormal elements and loads of adventure and I love the real world tie ins that the author uses She's obviously done her research A great read
