The Footsteps of Domingo Rhodes starts with a bang and never slows down moving from one plot development to the next in rapid fire fashion As they say never a dull moment One of the major themes of the novel seems to be the argument about whether reporters should be impartial or try to further the greater good as they see it and therein lies the problem He also builds a fascinating set of characters and does a good job of developing them without lingering long enough to bore the reader We get a good feel for each characters motivations and internal struggles and Collier is particularly good at writing brief but believable dialogueThe downsides were that I found the style and sentence construction to be a bit clumsy at times and felt that in many cases things could have been worded smoothly and descriptively with just a bit editing There were also a disturbing number of typos and grammatical mistakes which is the main reason I am only giving it 3 stars I read the PDF version so I can't say if the Kindle version is the same or not But once you get past those little hiccups it is an entertaining book and worth a read
